Some fun ideas for datenight
Head to the Colonial Theatre for "Catch the Fever: An Evening with Fabrizio and the Fever," to benefit the Richie duPont Scholarship Fund, 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$50, $50 VIP tickets include a preshow reception and meet and greet with Fabrizio and the Fever.
Ross Daly and Kelly Thoma perform at Down County Social Club, 8:30 p.m. beneath the Stagecoach Tavern, 854 South Undermountain Road, Sheffield. According to DCSC, both Ross and Kelly play contemporary modal music on the Cretan Lyra, Tarhu, Afghan rubab, saz and more. They come from the Cretan/Turkish traditions, but also touch upon Persian, Balkan, Azeri and Indian traditions.
Pressing Strings perform at the Barn at the Egremont Village Inn, 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $15. Find the Barn at 17 Main St., South Egremont.
Lady Di and the Dukes return to Hotel on North's Live on North music series, 8 to 11 p.m. Hotel on North is located at 297 North St., Pittsfield.
Why not take your date to the theater?
Catch the opening of "There Are Things I Didn't Tell You," by Mary Mott, directed by Bob Moss at the Unicorn Theatre, 6 East St., Stockbridge at 7 p.m. "Mary Mott shares her funny, personal and poignant thoughts about the things we tend not to talk about." Tickets are $40.
Or why not attend Hudson River Classics Showcase Theatre's one-night reading of "So You Can Look Ahead," by Edward Morgan, directed by Barbara Waldinger, at the First Reformed Church of Hudson. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Call 518-851-2061 for reservations.
Ghent Playhouse is showing Thornton Wilder's "Our Town," 8 p.m. "Set in the fictional town of Grover's Corners, Wilder's masterpiece follows the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry and eventually — in one of the most famous scenes in American theater history — die." Running through June 3. Tickets are $22. The Playhouse is located at 6 Town Hall Place, Ghent, N.Y.
Or head to Hotel on North for dinner and a special tasting event with Laphroaig Distillery, 6 p.m. Tickets are $50, call 413-553-4212.
Lexi Weege and the Wondertwins come to the Dream Away Lodge, 8 to 10 p.m. According to her website, "Weege conjures up decadent scenes of the roaring twenties with her stellar voice and jazz-influenced compositions." The Dream Away Lodge is located at 1342 County Road, Becket.
Chris Merenda performs at the Lion's Den at the Red Lion Inn, 8 to 11 p.m., 30 Main St., Stockbridge.
Bobby Previte and Bump, featuring Keith Pray on sax, Alex Slomka on trombone, Tony Kieraldo on piano, Scott Petito on bass and Boddy Previte on drums, perform at Club Helsinki, 8 p.m. Tickets are $12. This is a 21 and older event. 405 Columbia St., Hudson, N.Y.
