The Parents' Night Out series is back this summer at Berkshire South Regional Community Center, 15 Crissey Road, Great Barrington. Parents can drop off their kids for an evening of activities, while they enjoy an evening out, one Friday a month, from 6-8 p.m. The cost is $20 per child, up to $30 per family, for youths ages 4 to 12 years old. Each night includes a pizza dinner, swimming, a story and themed activities.

This Friday, the theme is Hawaiian Luau, with summer music, tropical soft drinks and island-inspired crafts. July 13 is sports-themed, while Aug. 10 will be all about water and bubble activities. Parents should be sure to pack a swimsuit, towel, and comfy clothes.

The Berkshire Art Association (BAA) has extended its call for original, contemporary art exploring themes of community and civic engagement for its 2018 biennial exhibition, "Showing Up: for Our Neighborhoods, Our Communities and Eachother."

Artists living and working in New England and New York have until June 30 to submit their work. The exhibition will be shown at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Ave., Pittsfield.

Massachusetts Audubon's Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, 472 West Mountain Road in Lenox, continues its "Evening at the Beaver Ponds" discovery series at 7:30 p.m. this Wednesday. Enjoy an evening searching for beavers and other wildlife that frequent the ponds during this family-friendly outing. The general admission cost is $4 per child, $8 per adult. Be sure to wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts, a hat and sturdy shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. Berkshire Mountain Faerie Festival takes place this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at Bowe Field, 371 Old Columbia Road, in Adams. General admission is $8; $4 for youths ages 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. The festival features family-friendly activities, music, storytelling, face painting, food vendors, performances, workshops and more. The North Adams SteepleCats' Cub Club Summer Reading Program at the North Adams Public Library will take place tonight at 6, at the library, 74 Church St., North Adams.
