Pittsfield: Voter registration deadline approaching
Wednesday, Oct. 18, is the last day to register to vote or change your name or address. The Registrar of Voters office at City Hall, 70 Allen St., Room 101, will remain open until 8 p.m. Wednesday to accommodate anyone wishing to register to vote or make changes.
Absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots are now available.
Registered voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot for one of the following reasons: absence from the city during normal polling hours; physical disability preventing you from going to the polls; or religious beliefs.
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon Monday, Nov. 6. Voters may choose to receive a ballot by mail or vote in person in the Registrar of Voters office.
Voter registration and absentee ballot application forms are available from the Registrar of Voters office from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
