Pittsfield: Presentation explores pipeline threat to sacred sites

A presentation on the historical and cultural significance of ceremonial stone landscapes threatened by the proposed Connecticut Expansion pipeline in Sandisfield will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at First Church of Christ, 27 East St.

The presentation, featuring slides and an explanation of the deep cultural roots of these sites, will be presented by Doug Harris,

deputy tribal historic preservation officer with the Narragansett Indian Tribal Historic Preservation Office.

Rosemary Wessel of No Fracked Gas in Mass. will give an introduction to the Connecticut Expansion project.
