Letter: Protest injustice afflicting America

To the editor:

There are those who believe that the human race has fallen to its final depths into materialism and is now rising up out of all of the trash we have bought into to what really matters. In the meantime, there is a continuing struggle between life and materialism. This fight is evident in the challenge to the Affordable Care Act.

Billionaire Warren Buffett says that the costs of medical care are still rising at an alarming rate and that corporate taxes are not a problem. He suggests that Trump should leave taxes alone.

When we see Americans and others around the world marching in the streets protesting the insanity going on, especially here in D.C.. I feel grateful to live in this crazy, diverse, wonderful America where people are still free to walk, or march or speak out against a flaming injustice. Cheers to all of them.

Elna Nugent,
