Guardian employees honored for volunteer work

PITTSFIELD — Four Pittsfield office employees received the Volunteer Recognition Award from the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America at a ceremony in New York City on Nov. 13. Grants were presented to the four area non-profit organizations for which the employees volunteer their time and energy. Each nonprofit received a $1,000 check.The Pittsfield award winners are: John Eurbin, desktop systems coordinator, on behalf of Berkshire Mountain Search & Rescue; Bernie Klem, senior internal communications specialist, on behalf of the Dalton Community Recreation Association; Katie LaPlante, claims consultant, on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County; and Jennifer Richard, claims consultant, on behalf of Rainbow Rescues, Inc.
