A TWA pilot (Tom Cruise) is recruited by the CIA ostensibly to keep tabs on the incipient communist threat in Central America and winds up running one of the biggest CIA covert operations in the agency's history which resulted in the establishment of the Medellin drug cartel. Based on a true story, this smart, zippy movie plays very much like your type-A Cruise movie before it yanks the rug out from beneath you and reveals the type-B Cruise we've been missing. BATTLE OF THE SEXES (PG-13)

A fictionalized rendering of the 1973 tennis match between 29-year-old Billie Jean King (Emma Stone) and 55-year-old hustler Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell) and the circumstances surrounding it.
