ALIEN: COVENANT (R)

A mysterious world in an uncharted paradise turns out to be a treacherous, dark place for the members of the crew of a colony ship headed for the far side of the galaxy. While "Alien: Covenant" has an ace up its sleeve, the sheer number of tricks the film pulls out, some of them from earlier installments, adds to a general sense of d ja vu, which is no doubt made worse by the many "Alien" rip-offs that now adorn our galaxy. With Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender. (Coyle, The Associated Press — 5/19). 2 hours 3 minutes. BC / BM / NAM

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 (PG_13)
