Berkshire County sports notes, Aug. 6
The Pittsfield boys cross-country team will have an informational meeting for all returning and prospective candidates and parents on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. on the front steps of the high school. Monument Mountain holding concussion tests
The Monument Mountain athletic department will hold concussion testing for students playing football this fall on Aug. 16-18.
On Wednesday, the tests will take place from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while on Thursday the tests will be from 1-2:30 p.m., and on Friday the tests will run from 8-10 a.m.
The test takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes to compete. All freshmen who have not taken the test must take it.
Dalton CRA fall sports signups
The Dalton CRA is accepting registrations for the upcoming fall soccer, volleyball and football leagues.
The middle school volleyball league will be accepting registrations through Aug. 15
Registration for the soccer and football leagues will run through Aug. 7.
All signups will take place at the Dalton CRA at 400 Main St. in Dalton.

Heaphy to hold 13th annual skills basketball camp
Taconic High School boys basketball coach Bill Heaphy will be conducting his 13th annual skills basketball camp for players in grades three through 12 at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires.
The final session begins on Aug. 7 and runs through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon.
Registration is $125 per session and checks/cash can be made to the Boys & Girls club or with coach Heaphy on the first day of camp. Brochures are available at the Club or you can register online on the Club's website.
