Alcombright rejoins MountainOne

NORTH ADAMS — Former North Adams Mayor Richard J. Alcombright has rejoined MountainOne Bank in the newly created position of vice president-local business and customer relations manager, according to President and CEO Bob Fraser.Before serving eight years as mayor, Alcombright had been employed at MountainOne for 36 years in roles of increasing responsibility. He began his banking career as a teller, and also served as a mortgage officer, assistant treasurer and ultimately, as senior vice president of retail banking. In 2002, he was part of the original team that coined the MountainOne name when Hoosac Bank and Williamstown Savings Bank joined together.Alcombright holds an associate degree in accounting from Southern Vermont College, and is a graduate of the National Association of Mutual Savings Banks School of Banking at Fairfield University. Besides serving two terms as mayor, Alcombright also served nine years as a city councilor and has held many other elected positions for the city of North Adams.
