Booker T. Jones at Mass MoCA

Mass MoCA will present Booker T. Jones in concert at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 22. From his early days as a Stax Records session player with the M.G.'s, to his recent resurgence, Jones has remained an ambassador of Memphis soul music for nearly 50 years. A pop-up performance at Third Thursday

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival will host a Pillow Pop-Up, "A Body in Pittsfield," at this week's 3rd Thursday. It will be the newest installment of Eiko Otake's "A Body in Places" series, which includes performances in train stations, warehouses and libraries, as well as the irradiated Fukushima, Japan. Pittsfield's 3rd Thursday cultural street festival is free, family-friendly and open to the public featuring live music, local food, craft vendors, street performers, and plenty more! Performance times will be announced; 3rd Thursday runs from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, in downtown Pittsfield.



Ghostly tales at Hancock Shaker Village

What happens in the Hancock Shaker Village after the last bell rings? Find out on "Haunted Hancock," a 90-minute after-hours tour from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 20. A guide will lead visitors through the darkening village where they will hear tales of ghostly sightings, learn about the Shakers' role in the spiritualist movement and perhaps catch a few spirit sightings of their own! The adventure concludes in the 1830 Brick Dwelling where hundreds of Shakers once made their home. Do any spirits remain? The tour is $30 per person and includes same-day admission to the village. A serious hike in the woods

The 2017 Berkshire GeoBash (GC6CE1Q), one of the largest GeoBash's in New England, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday July 22 and 23, at Bousquet Mountain, 101 Dan Fox Drive, Pittsfield.
