3 from Pittsfield plead not guilty to gun, drug charges

PITTSFIELD — Three Pittsfield residents pleaded not guilty in Pittsfield District Court on Friday to gun and drug charges that stemmed from an early morning raid of a Lincoln Street residence, according to a statement from Pittsfield Police.

On March 9, Pittsfield Police and officers assigned to the Berkshire County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 76 Lincoln St. and arrested Marcelle King, 30, Jayce Jones, 27, and Joseph Barnes, 31, according to the statement.

King was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card and receiving stolen property valued over $250.

Jones was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and a drug violation near a school or park.

Barnes was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute as a subsequent offense, a drug violation near a school or park, and heroin possession.

Guns, drugs, cash and ammunition were seized from the home.
